Bronze

Kormax offers a broad range of grades, forms and sizes in bronze.

Bronze is the name for metal usually consisting of 80 - 95% copper with the balance made up of one or more other metals, such as tin, silicon, nickel, aluminium, iron, zinc or manganese. Bronze is a favoured material when strength and corrosion resistance are called for.

Aluminium Bronze

Bronze is a versatile and commonly used material because it comes in many alloys and compositions. Bronze bushings (also called bronze bearings) are strong and versatile, making it the material of choice for many sacrificial bushings. Bronze bushings have long lifespans and resist shock, impact, wear and corrosion. They require an external lubricant, for example grease or oil, at installation and during operation to reduce friction and wear.

Cast Bronze bearings with solid graphite lubrication to operate maintenance free. They are commonly used in high temperatures or exposed to chemicals. They are high performance, heat-resistant and maintenance-free suitable for many applications.

Sintered Bronze

Standard Oilite bearings are impregnated with a highly refined mineral oil to ISO VG (SAE 30) having a high viscosity index and containing antioxidant, anti-rust and defoamant additives. Oilite® are sintered bearings often used in environments when high speed operation is required, in limited-space and variable-load applications.
